Tourist bus

The cheapest option. Buses leave Kathmandu early in the morning and follow the Prithvi Highway along the Trishuli river, with stops for tea and lunch.

Private jeep

Door-to-door from your hotel, with stops wherever you like. It costs more than the bus but splits well between four to six travelers.

Flight

The fastest option at about 25 minutes. Flights are weather-dependent, so leave a buffer day if you have an international connection.

Frequently asked questions

Is the road safe?

The highway is busy and slow in places, especially during the monsoon. Experienced drivers and daytime travel make a big difference.

Can the jeep pick me up at the airport?

Yes. Airport transfer packages meet you at arrivals and drive straight to Pokhara.
